Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 at Porbandar. The title was given to him by great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore. He was very impressed with Mahatma Gandhi great saintly qualities, thoughts and character.

Mahatma Gandhi was married at an early age of thirteen to “Kasturba Gandhi’. His education was completed in London. When he returned to India in 1891, he moves to South Africa in 1893 as a lawyer. 

That was the place, where he made several experiments in non-violence, truth, and satyagraha. Satyagraha was the very effective tools of Gandhi Ji. He used during freedom and independence of India. 

These things developed into a vast movement and helped India to win freedom.

Mahatma Gandhi was a good example of selfless service and discipline. He always protects humanity and human value. Mahatma was influenced by Gita and the thoughts of Leo Tolstoy, Henry Thoreau, and Ruskin. 

His political Guru was a great person Mr. Gopal Krishna Gokhle. He always wants to know the cause of the weak, poor people and fought for them.

Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned for long periods but his come back of the prison stronger with more determination. He was prepared to go the jail for the movement of the upliftment of poor Indian people. 

He did not sacrifice at any cost. He took the decision for the famous Dandi March against the cruel and monopolistic salt law of the present government. This movement was very effective and attracted the government.

Quit India Movement

Quit India Movement was the big movement of Indian leader Gandhi against the British government rule. Gandhi Ji gave the call to the nation to follow in the Quit India Movement and motivate to forced the Britishers to leave the Indian soil forever. A large number of people followed the Mahatma Gandhi and strengthen the movement. 
This was the best move of Indian people and India became free on 15th August 1947.

After independence, the country faced the communal riots and violence. Gandhi Ji tried his best to stop the Hindu and Muslim riots. He appealed both to maintain peace and harmony and got the success to some extent. But lastly dead by a fanatic. 

That was the great setback of Indian politics, which could not be saved our freedom fighter. His death and sacrifice marked the culmination of a soul and career. He was the living legend during the lifetime. 

His ideas and ideals are the best tools for the new generation to take the decision in the critical moment. He leaves a great message for us that how to set the goal and the means to achieve it. 

He was really a true man and selfless servant of humanity and weaker section of people. His non-violence movement left the tremendous effect on society.

Mahatma Gandhi wants a free and sovereign nation. His dream was that everyone should be free, fearless, mighty and prosperous. He believes on genuine freedom means not only political freedom but also freedom from hunger, poverty, disease, illness, corruption, and exploitation. 

He knows that millions of men, women, and children are very poor and they are suffering from starvation. His life is a burden and surviving is difficult for them. He expected that India would emerge as a superpower economically.

What Was Dream Of Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi Ji dream was to see India as a truly democratic country without any discrimination, exploitation, corruption, nepotism, casteism, communalism and terrorism. 

These are the valuable points, which are required for a good nation. He continued to maintain these things during his life.
